The Academy annually holds scientific meetings, symposia, public lectures for encouraging other similar activities in order to provide means of exchange of scientific knowledge among scientists and to bring new knowledge to the attention of the whole scientific community. Annually, the midyear meeting is organised during June/July and the Annual meeting in November. The Fellowship of the Academy, teachers and other invitees participate in these meetings. For the past several years now, the Academy has been organizing two meetings, a Mid-year meeting normally in Bangalore and an Annual meeting in different places in the country.
The 90th Annual Meeting of the Indian Academy of Sciences scheduled to be held at NISER- Pathani Samantha Auditorium during 8-9th November 2024. and 10th November at Community Center, IIT Bhuvaneshvwar.
